How to apply for Reception 2026

The admissions process

Are you interested in sending your child to our Reception class in September 2026? 

Admission to our school is through Oxfordshire County Council - more information on how to apply and key dates for the application process can be found here.

We will hold 45 minute school tours for families on the following dates - to express an interest in attending please complete the form found below:

Wednesday October 22nd at 1pm

Thursday November 6th at 9am

Monday November 17th at 2pm

Tuesday December 2nd at 10am

The appeals timetable for primary school entry into Reception can be found on the Council website.

In-year transfers

There may be the opportunity for transferring from other schools if places are available.

Nursery

Parents need to express an interest in a nursery place directly to the school office.

The oversubscription criteria can be found on our Nursery page.

If there is availability, parents will also be able to purchase additional hours to their free entitlement.

Religious character

Windrush Church of England Primary School is supported by the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) and offers an education based on Christian values. It is a Church of England (Anglican) school in character, but is for children of all faiths and none.

No preference will be given to practising Anglican families in the admissions process.
